Valve has now announced that it’s digital gaming platform Steam will now open it’s doors to 5,000 more beta testers to try out the Linux platform which has been in internal testing since September and external testing since October with about 1,000 testers. “This is a huge milestone in the development of PC gaming,” Valve president Gabe Newell says. “Steam users have been asking us to support gaming on Linux. We’re happy to bring rich forms of entertainment and our community of users to this open, customer-friendly platform.”
